Wills & Probate | Dying Matters Awareness Week, 2-6 May 2022

Updated: Aug 7, 2023

We are pleased to announce that we are participating in the Dying Matters Awareness Week 2022 - starting conversations around death and grief, planning for the end of life as well as managing an estate after a loved one has passed. These are all important topics, and we should all be more comfortable with the uncomfortable.

Hospice UK’s Dying Matters campaign is to create an open culture in which we’re comfortable talking about death, dying and bereavement.

Dying Matters believes in honest talks about death, and where people feel able to listen and support those who are planning for end of life, who are dying and who have been bereaved. The lack of openness in society has affected the quality and range of support and care services available to patients and families. It has also affected our ability to die where or how we would wish. We want to break the stigma, challenge preconceptions and normalise public openness around death, dying and bereavement. Start the conversation...
  • What will happen when you die? Or worse - lose capacity?

  • Who will look after my children?

  • What can you do today to make sure your loved ones are safe and looked after when you are no longer here?

  • If you have a Will in place - is it comprehensive enough and up to date?

...and many more from what happens to your mortgage, who will cancel your weekly flower subscription and what happens to your personal files on the cloud.

A plan in place will save your nearest and dearest of unnecessary stress and heartache when they are already going through a lot. You may not be here anymore, but you can manage the situation and make sure everyone is well (as well as they can be) and safe.

We are welcoming you to our offices, for an "Open House", an event just to have these difficult conversations and questions answered by a Wills and Probate expert and protections advisor.

Our Open Coffee Mornings will take place during the Dying Matters Awareness week - everyone is welcome, and no appointment is needed:

Tuesday, 03.05.2022 from 8.30 to 9.30
Wednesday, 04.05.2022 from 8.30 to 9.30
Thursday, 05.05.2022 from 8.30 to 9.30

It can be tough talking about those matters, but peace of mind is worth overcoming the uncomfortable.
